Mr. Athula Bandara Herath (LL.B Sri Lanka ) Attorney-at-Law was enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law in the year 1986 and a senior Counsel practicing in Supreme Court, Court of appeal, District Court of Colombo as well as other outstation District Courts of the Country.

He is rendering professional services to Peoples’ Bank, Ceylinco Insurance Co. Pvt., Hupuhasthanna Plantation Limited, The Finance Company PLC., Kesbewa Municipal Council, Lanka Ceramic Ltd., Land Reform Commission, Commercial Credit PLC and Petroleum Corporation.

Mr. Herath was appointed as Presidential Commissioner to Inquire into the activities of Janasaviya Trust Fund, reposing great trust and confidence in his prudence ability and fidelity and he was appointed to the Land Acquisition Board of Review by the Judicial Service Commission and served for the Board for five years too. He also functioned as the Chairman of the Colombo Rent Board for five years.

He served as a Director to the boards of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, Airport and Aviation Services (Srilanka)(Private) LTD and the Port Authority.

He is the author of "Case Law on the Evidence Ordinance" published in the year 2006 which is highly recommended book for Lawyers and the Judges and is the Compiler of " Supreme Court Law Report" ( A.B.H.Law Report)for the years 2014 to 2021.
