A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was entered into between the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) & Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in the presence of the visiting Indian Minister of External Affairs, Honorable Mr. S.M Krishna, on January 17, 2012.
Mr. Anusha Palpita, Director - General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka & Dr. J.S. Sharma, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India placed their signatures in the MOU.
Both regulatory institutions have undertaken to promote the establishment and exchange of technical & institutional cooperation between the two countries as well as to contribute to the development of telecommunications under this MOU.
