A Special Session On Advances In 6G Technologies

A special session on advances in 6G technologies, as part of the IEEE 17th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems was held today (26) at the main auditorium of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka. This session was attended by Prof. Niranjan Gunawardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Technology  and representatives from the telecommunication industry. Prof. Marcos Katz, University of Oulu, Finland, Dr. Kuntal Deka of Indian Institute of Technology, Researcher Mr. Thushan Sivalingam of Finnish 6G Flagship Project shared their experience in 6G technology. Sessions mainly revolved around current issues in implementing 5G technology, developments and concerns on 6G technology, 6G Roadmap of India, and important research findings in the context of 6G technology.

කාර්මික සහ තොරතුරු පද්ධති පිළිබඳ IEEE 17 වැනි ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණයේ කොටසක් ලෙස 6G තාක්ෂණය පිළිබඳ විශේෂ සැසියක් අද (26) ශ්‍රී ලංකා විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභා ප්‍රධාන ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී පැවැත්විණි. මෙම සැසිවාරය සඳහා තාක්ෂණ අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් මහාචාර්ය නිරංජන් ගුණවර්ධන මහතා සහ විදුලි සංදේශ ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ නියෝජිතයින් සහභාගී විය. ෆින්ලන්තයේ ඕලු විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ මහාචාර්ය මාර්කෝස් කාට්ස්, ඉන්දීය තාක්ෂණ ආයතනයේ ආචාර්ය කුන්තාල් ඩෙකා සහ ෆින්ලන්ත 6G ව්‍යාපෘතියේ පර්යේෂක තුෂාන් සිවලිංගම් යන මහත්වරුන් සැසිවාරයේ දේශන පැවැත්වූහ.   5G තාක්‍ෂණය ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමේදී පවතින ගැටලු, 6G තාක්‍ෂණයේ භාවිතයන් හා වර්ධනයන් , 6G තාක්‍ෂණ සන්දර්භය තුළ වැදගත් පර්යේෂණාත්මක සොයාගැනීම් පිළිබදව සැසිවාරයේ දී සාකච්ඡා කරන ලදි.
