A new computer centre with facilities for ICT equipment was opened at Paradisewatta Ranaviru Village at Kuruvita in the Ratnapura District on 18th February 2010, under the patronage of  Mrs. Padma Wettewa, Chairman of the Ranaviru Seva Authority, Mr. Jagath Ratnayaka, Assistant  Director (Policy) of TRCSL and Mr. W.D Hemachandra, Skill Development Project Officer of the   Ranaviru Seva  Authority.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) and the International Telecommunications  Union (ITU) assistance project programme provided ICT facilities for the benefit of disabled persons having special needs at ICT centre located at Paradisewatta Ranaviru Village.
